Summaries already off the wall
Not a case gallery. What hung in the Columna hall, which handover hour sat in the model, what left on paper.
Bakery till on București
Three shops between București and Ismail, one office safe. Notes moved on “Friday feeling”: collection when someone had time, flour when the supplier picked up. The brief asked to “tidy Excel”. On the wall it was something else: there was no Tuesday on which cash was treated as closed.
We mapped cash movement for 11 weeks. We dropped lines that duplicated each other under different names. Scenario B — flour plus 8% on Thursday — hung next to the base case, not in an appendix. Handover: Thursday, 16:00, paper strip and file. The strip left the plotter the same day, with no “pending approval”.
Build summary in Ciocana
Contractors, advances, retainers. The payment calendar lived in three inboxes. On Columna we hung four metres of wall: who is paid in which week, and what happens if the concrete runs four days late. That is scenario B — not a “risk slide”, a cash shift.
The model closes on a date you can say out loud. Updated strip: Monday after each stage sign-off, 11:00. Not a round “once a month”, because a build does not live that way.
Shift fund on Botanica
Warehouse, night shifts, a fund that would “sort itself”. Cards went by people and hours, not by titles from the staff list. Tuesday cash broke if the night shift closed on Wednesday morning with no mark in the model.
Rule that left the wall: on Wednesday we cut only lines that do not feed the next 48 hours of dispatch. Weekly summary: Tuesday, 11:00. If cash dips, review in the hall the same day, not Friday “when everyone can come”.
Holding on Râșcani
Four companies, four tills, one family. Mail dragged file versions with suffixes. On the wall we built an approval strip: who sees the summary before Friday, who may move the handover hour, who only reads.
Consolidation is not “the sum of four sheets”. It is one date by which all four tills must close. Here that is Thursday. A file with no date in the name is not accepted at review.
Hotel on Ștefan cel Mare
Occupancy, purchasing, January idle. The base case drew the year as if January looked like September. On cards we laid three winters in a row — as they were, not as hoped. The idle scenario hung in the same grid as high season.
Quarterly strip: the 12th of the month after the quarter, 15:00, hall by the window. If the 12th is a rest day, we hand over on the previous working day, not “Monday because it is easier”.
Shop budget on Telecentru
Material, scrap, machine idle. In the sheet, scrap hid inside “other”. On the wall it became its own band: you can see which weeks cash thins from rework, not from purchasing. The plotter prints at hall scale so the floor lead and the owner stand in one place.
Weekly sheet: Friday, 10:00, before the floor meeting. If the plotter is busy, we hand the kraft by hand; the file still leaves at the same hour.
